I really enjoy going out  with my son to  Oleta Stat Park just off of NE 163 street .  Several times we have taken  tandem kayak or my gets the kayak and  cruise around on a paddle board. There is a  small lagoon lined with mangroves on all sides where you can launch your kayak, canoe or paddle board.  After paddleing a few hundred yards you can go around the corner where many boats are moored..

There are also bike trails for differnent skill levels.   It is very easy to spend half of the day here.
